I’m, by no means, a beauty expert but I do love good make-up products. So, I thought I would share the products that have served me well over the years. After trial and error, I found the ones that work for me and I virtually use them every day. Well, that is when I do decide to get ready. Sometimes as new Moms’ we don’t even get to brush our teeth till about 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
I’m extremely picky about my skin and use both foundation and powder. My favorite brand for this is Lancôme. It lasts all day and never makes my face look greasy. Plus, it feels light on your face while giving you a full coverage look. I start with a prep and matte make-up primer. This keeps my face hydrated all day. Once finished prepping my face, I apply the tint Ultra Wear 24-hour foundation. This has SPF 15 already in it, so it helps protect your skin from the sun. After my foundation is applied, I seal it all in the dual finish press powder. I also love their blush colors. I’m currently loving the cedar rose color. It’s great for daytime.
Hoola Benefit is my kryptonite. I use this for some slight contouring around my face, below my cheekbones, and along the side of my nose. This helps shape my face and gives it some dimension and a sun-kissed glow.
Urban Decay After Glow is a great highlighter palette that I use when I want to make myself feel extra special that day.
I’m a sucker for great eye make-up. I tend to lean towards neutral colors. I also enjoy a great Smokey eye look. One brand I like is Glow Skin Beauty. This is considered a natural product line. The eyeshadow does stay on well, but sometimes you do need a touch up throughout the day. I like to always line my eye with a black liner and of course mascara to top it off. I’m currently using Lancôme special valentines day addition mascara Big and I love it! And then to seal it all in I use the Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray. I love that it’s oil control because I tend to get oily throughout the day and this product really helps to set everything in place while keeping me matte.
