Hey Guys! Wow, this was my first time going to Atlantis at the Bahamas and I must say it’s a tropical paradise! My husband and I got married last November and booked our Honeymoon to the Bahamas which quickly became a Familymoon because my son is still breastfeeding and WILL NOT take a bottle. We’ve been battling with this problem for some time now. Never the less, we love our son and didn’t mind making this a family vacation. We brought Nana along with us so she can watch Cole while we were able to get some adult activities together.

I could not believe how many families were at Atlantis. This is such a great vacation destination for all age types. They have something for everyone from aquariums, water slides, lazy rivers, casino, and a myriad of entertainment.  They call the island where Atlantis is located Paradise Island.

We stayed at The Cove in Atlantis which is a breathing taking hotel. The hotel rooms are modern and give you a luxury feel. What is great about this hotel is that it has its own private beach called Cove Beach and an adult only pool that is rocking with its own personal DJ. Although we loved staying at The Cove, I think next time we will stay at The Royal. It’s in the center of Paradise Island and has most of the attractions such as the lazy river, water slides, large casino area, great restaurants and shopping, and enormous aquariums. It’s a very kid-friendly environment.

The Cove had one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever experienced. It was full of wonderful food selections as well as a beautiful setting.

The beaches were so beautiful and the views were mesmerizing.

Swimsuit // Hat

One of the most memorable parts of the trip was swimming with the dolphins. I’ve always wanted to do this and my dreams finally came true. There is a location on the property called Dolphin Cay where you swim with the dolphins. You’re with a group of people where they divide you up. Group one swims around while a dolphin swims between you and you can pet them while they glide past you. I’m not sure if the dolphin liked me or not while doing this because she literally rammed right into my left shoulder. The other group gets to use a kickboard and the dolphin pushes you using their snout to your foot. Also, they let you grab their fin and they swim with you. It was so cool.

Below are more photos from our trip. I wish I could have gotten more but we were having so much fun exploring the island. I think it’s important when you’re away to give attention to your loved ones and try to disconnect from the world for a bit. A getaway is the perfect reset button for changing up the montony of everyday life and think about ways to better improve yourself and your surroundings.
