My Trip to Italy and Sicily was absolutely amazing. My mother and I started in Rome then travelled to Sorrento Italy and along the Amalfi Coast, from there we travelled to Florence and then our final stop was Sicily where we meet our long family and my step-dad and brother joined us. We had an interpreter there to show us around the beautiful island and to help us communicate with our Sicilian family. Since this trip, my mother has received her Italian citizenship and has purchased property in Chianti which is 40 minutes from Florence.  Enjoy some pictures below from our adventure.

This is shot from the Amalfi Coast having lunch with my mother.  As you can see we had an amazing view of the coast.

Below me is the town Positano along the Amalfi Coast. It’s a cliffside village on southern Italy’s Amalfi Coast. It’s a well-known holiday destination with a pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes.

Cooking class in Sorrento. I’ll always remember when my mother got locked into the bathroom and we had to save her. It was quite intense. But all the food came out amazing and some locals stopped in to say ‘Hello!’

Locks across the bridge it reminds me to always be positive in life. Every problem has a solution. No lock is made without a key. Even if you lost the key, stay cool & search for the key maker.

The Vatican lit up at night. It was so beautiful. We were able to take a private tour of the inside the next day.

This family was so gracious to open us their home to us and share some of their homemade vino.

Although I loved all the food from Italy, I will have to say my best meal was in Sicily. All the fresh fish and pasta was to die for.
